Parent walkthrough
The coach still runs the card. You see it.
1. Create the right account
Sign up → Parent / Guardian. That’s a separate role from Fighter. If your kid fights, they get the Fighter account; you get this one.
2. Link your athlete
Linked successfully. The athlete shows under Linked children. Gyms show under Gyms (via your children).
If the code expired: ask for a new one. Fighter/guest codes last 14 days. Gym team links last 24 hours.
- 01Profile → Link with invite code.
- 02Paste the code or the link the coach/fighter sent.
- 03Accept invite.
- Child already on the app — they open Profile → Parent / guardian → Generate invite code.
- Child is a gym guest (name on the roster, no app) — coach sends a guest-parent code. You can later edit that guest’s roster info.
- You only need gym chats for now — coach sends a 24-hour team link. Success: Joined [gym] — open Chats for team messages.
3. My Team and chats
- My Team — Roster (read-only). Other parents, with Linked athletes on each row. Tap a parent to DM.
- You cannot approve join requests, add fighters, or send the fighters list.
- Chats: Everyone and Parents. You will not see My team (fighters and coaches).
- Empty chats: Ask your coach for a team invite link, or link your child.
4. Fight week
Profile → My Events
When your linked kids (app or guest) are registered, the event appears with: child’s name; bout / ring / time when it’s up; Weigh-in status; Watch live when the stream is on.
Tap the event for the public bout sheet.
This list is kids who are entered, not every event you help run.
5. If you’re helping run the show
The organizer can add you as event staff if you have a linked child at that gym. You can edit description and concessions, help the bout sheet, and help with livestream. You still cannot register fighters, run matchmaking, or manage the full roster.
6. Unlink
Open the athlete → Unlink. Updates stop until a new invite is accepted.
