Fighter walkthrough

Your coach signs you up to fight. You train, show up, and watch the card.

1. Finish your profile (do this before fight night)

Weight, date of birth, and sex are optional at signup. They are required before a coach can register you for an event.

  1. 01Open Profile.
  2. 02Add a photo, weight, date of birth, sex, and fight count.
  3. 03Add fights that happened outside the app with Add a fight. Shows and tournaments in the app update your count for you.
  4. 04Turn on Show on gym preview & team view if you want to appear on the public gym page and in sparring search. Leave it off if you’re still leveling up.
  5. 05Under 18: ask a parent to create a Parent account, then tap Parent / guardianGenerate invite code.

After stats are confirmed for gym preview, sex and date of birth lock. Corrections go through a request (about 24–48 hours) and can’t be submitted while you’re registered for an event.

2. Join a gym or a coach

  1. 01Open the Team tab (Join a Boxing Team).
  2. 02Use Gyms or Coaches. Search or pick from nearby.
  3. 03Open the preview → send a join request. You can undo from the snackbar if you tapped the wrong gym.
  4. 04Optional: introduce yourself to the head coach in chat.
  5. 05Wait for them to accept. You’ll get a notification. Team becomes My Team.

You can’t add yourself to a roster. That’s the point.

3. Live in the gym (after you’re accepted)

  • My Team — Your coach and teammates. Tap someone to message them.
  • Chats — Gym Chat, My team (fighters and coaches), Everyone. The Parents thread is for coaches and parents — you won’t see it.
  • Unattached (no gym yet): you can still message other fighters who show on gym previews.

4. Events, bout sheets, live

  1. 01HomeEvents. Filter All, In-app, Local, Live, Show, Tournament, Sparring.
  2. 02Open an event for the flyer, when/where, registered fighters, and the bout sheet.
  3. 03You don’t register yourself. Your coach does. You get a notification when you’re entered or removed.
  4. 04ProfileMy Events — cards you’re on, plus past events after they conclude.
  5. 05When the show is streaming, tap Watch on the event or on Home Live now. Sign in to watch.

Tournaments: brackets stay hidden until the organizer releases them.

5. Shop, flyers, safety

  • Marketplace — Browse, cart, checkout. Orders follow your account.
  • Community flyers on Home: read and comment (commenting: age 14+ with date of birth on file). Fighters don’t post flyers — coaches and officials do.
  • Mute a chat from the thread. Report a gym or coach from their preview. There is no block list yet.

I grew up in the Houston boxing community, training and coaching at my family’s gym. I’ve watched fighters and coaches drown in DMs and group chats. I’ve had sparring sessions fall through and lost evenings of work. I’ve seen shows go to event day with a bout sheet that was only half full.

Boxing Network is the tool I wished existed when I was looking for sparring, scouting gyms in a new city when we've traveled for nationals, or when we were trying to matchmake for an event. I graduated Hamilton College, NY, with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics and combined my passion for boxing with my technical expertise to create Boxing Network.

The story

Built in the gym.

Boxing Network started after one too many missed fights. A camp ends, a fighter is ready, and the bout falls through because the right opponent never saw the call. Or a gym puts on a show and the room is half-empty because the flyer lived in three group chats and a facebook group where everyone is doing the exact same thing.

We're fighters and coaches who got tired of running the business of boxing on tools built for everything else. Sparring shouldn't take a week of DMs. A bout sheet shouldn't live only on a spreadsheet. Finding a gym in a new city shouldn't require knowing someone who knows someone.

So we built the network we wanted to fight in. One app. Every gym, every fighter, every event, every corner — pulled together, still local, still ours.

What we stand for

Four corners. Four rules.

01

Built in the gym

Every feature started with a real fight night, a real bout sheet, a real gym we train at. Nothing is theoretical.

02

Fighters first

Every decision begins with the boxer. If it doesn't make their next fight easier, it doesn't ship.

03

Local before global

We grow block by block, gym by gym. The scene is local — the tools should be too.

04

No middlemen

Direct connections between fighters, coaches, gyms, and organizers. No gatekeepers, no agents in between.
